Migrating a Kubernetes environment from DigitalOcean to Amazon EKS on Bottlerocket broke every workload that depended on a shared ReadWriteMany volume. The fix kept the applications unchanged: an OpenEBS-provisioned NFS server backed by EBS on the server side, and the CSI NFS driver on the client side.
